Three times a year we test our 3rd-8th grade students with the NWEA Map Growth Test. MAP® Growth™ measures what students know and informs what they’re ready to learn next. By dynamically adjusting to each student’s responses, MAP Growth creates a personalized assessment experience that accurately measures performance. Timely, easy-to-use reports help teachers teach, students learn, and administrators lead.
We report the full scores to each student’s parents. We publish the average grade equivalent score for each subtest for each grade. The grade equivalent represents the grade level and month of the typical score for students. For example, a 5.9 score shows that the class on average tested like a 5th grader in the 9th month of the school year.
Each year after the results are published our administration analyzes the scores to see where the school need to improve. These reports are available in the school office if you would like to read them over.
